What are your office hours?
Our leasing office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If you would like to tour but cannot make it during our regular hours, please reach out to our office staff directly!
How does leasing work at Haven at University Downs?
Leases are individual and by the bed on a twelve month term. You sign for your own bedroom and are responsible for your portion of the rent only, so a roommate's lease is never your financial problem.
What if I don't have roommates lined up?
Sign on your own and we will match you with other residents based on how you actually live, from sleep schedule to how tidy you keep a kitchen. You can also apply as a full group and we will place you together.
Is the community gated?
Yes. Haven at University Downs is a gated community with controlled access, and apartments use electronic entry instead of a traditional key that can be lost or copied.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, and there are two dog parks on site. Pet rent, one time fees, weight limits and breed restrictions apply, so confirm the current terms with the leasing office before you apply.
How do I apply?
Apply online in a few minutes. You can start the application on your own and add roommates as they decide, or submit together as a group.
Are apartments furnished?
Furniture packages are available if you want the apartment ready on move in day, and unfurnished apartments are available if you would rather bring your own.
Can two people share a one bedroom?
Yes. Double occupancy is available in our one bedroom apartments for a monthly premium of $200, which is a common choice for couples or two close friends who want a larger private space.
Do any apartments have vaulted ceilings?
Third floor apartments have vaulted ceilings and carry a monthly premium. They are the ones people request by name, so ask early if you want one.
Is extra storage available?
Select apartments include a storage unit. They are limited and tend to go to whoever asks first, so mention it while you are touring.
Is there a washer and dryer in the apartment?
Yes. Every apartment has a full size washer and dryer, so laundry is not a trip across the property or a Sunday errand.
How do I get to campus?
A University of Alabama Crimson Ride shuttle stop sits at the community, so you can get to class without driving or hunting for a space. Campus is also a short drive or bike ride away.
Where do I park, and can my guests park?
Parking is private and regulated by decal, so spaces stay available to residents. Visitor spaces are at the back of the property and are marked with red lines.
What community amenities do you offer?
Two resort style pools with poolside cabanas and grills, a 24 hour fitness center, a yoga studio, a movie theater, two dog parks, and a two story clubhouse with a co-working lounge.
